We are doing well here in Florida. We have dodged another Hurricane season,
and hope that everyone else has avoided any natural disasters.
We are still enjoying living in Florida and do not miss the winters.
In our quest to fully enjoy this area, we obtained a small boat and are
spending our weekends on the water. It is fun to see the Manatee and the
Dolphins swimming around the boat. At low tide, there is a huge sandbar
that everyone goes to to visit, play touch football and just generally have
a great time. One day we may venture out into the ocean but we will wait
for a VERY calm day. We hope to learn to fish and capture the elusive Snook
(a great fish to eat).
We are moving a short distance up the road, about 8 miles away from where we
are now. We are moving to a 2 story town home. It will be nice to have no
yard to think about. Everything that can grow here grows really, really
fast! We are in the process of remodeling the town home and hope it will be
done late December. We would love to be in by Christmas but that may be too
optimistic, we shall see. We will be a little farther from Tina and Ralph
but we will still be getting together often.
Ian was honored by the Canadian Society of Perfusion for his pioneering work
in the field of Perfusion. The Society flew us up to Toronto, and spent the
week meeting many Physicians and Colleagues that Ian used to work with. It
truly was an honor for Ian and a thrill for me to meet those people he
influenced and worked with.
Ravonne has moved to a quieter job at a small outpatient surgical center
that has allowed her to scale back her work hours and enjoy weekends with
her husband.
Happy holidays to all of you!
Ian and Ravonne Ross
