The year 2004 has been a great year with many blessings and challenges. We arrived home from Brazil just before Christmas last year with our son Jared in tow. What a great experience to visit that beautiful country and visit with people Jared baptized and fellowshipped. The day we arrived Jared and a companion and a sister from the branch picked us up at the airport and drove us to the Angra dos Reis, a beautiful town on the coast with hundreds of islands. That evening Jared had a baptism of a couple he had taught. What a payday for us to witness this humble couple being baptized by our son.

Ernie and Anneke are still running their business and it is still going. Ernie has an added interest in helping people who are disabled and handicapped. His Ability Foundation is slowly but steadily growing. He works with the Humiatarian Center and other organizations by repairing and cleaning their donated medical equipment and then places the equipment with individuals and schools that have a need. He especially focus' on children and their needs. He has placed many wheelchairs, walkers, tumble forms and other equipment with children who are in need of the equipment and have no other financial avenue to get the equipment. This last year he has helped over 300 individuals. Ernie works as the Executive Secretary to the bishop and Anneke is still the Relief Society President which keeps them both busy.
